Web Data Extraction to Excel Dashboard

I need to automate the entire journey of pulling financial data from the web, saving it into a clean .csv file, and then funneling that data into Excel where I can explore it through a purpose-built dashboard with interactive filters.

Here is what I have in mind:

• A reusable script (Python with requests/BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or a similar stack) that scrapes up-to-date financial data. We can decide together which public sources make the most sense once we talk through feasibility and any site restrictions.
• The script should output a single, well-structured .csv file ready for import.
• An Excel workbook that automatically refreshes from that .csv and presents the data in a clear dashboard: charts, key metrics, and slicers or drop-down filters so I can drill into specific time periods, tickers, or categories without touching the raw sheet.
• Simple setup instructions so I can run the scraper and refresh the dashboard myself whenever I need fresh numbers.

Acceptance criteria
– Scraper runs without manual intervention and captures the agreed set of financial data.
– .csv follows a consistent header/column format.
– Excel dashboard updates correctly when the data source is refreshed and all filters work as intended.
