# Freelance Cybersecurity Expert – Authorized Web Application Security Test

## Project Overview

I am looking for an experienced cybersecurity professional / penetration tester to perform an **authorized security assessment of my website**. The goal is to identify, validate, and document security weaknesses so they can be fixed before they are abused by real attackers.

## Primary Test Scope

The first vulnerability I would like investigated is **CVE-2025-2262**, including whether the affected component/version is present on the site and whether the vulnerability is actually exploitable in the current environment.

The assessment should determine whether this vulnerability could allow unauthorized access, privilege escalation, authentication bypass, or other meaningful compromise.

## What I Need Tested

Please perform a professional, controlled penetration test covering:

* Verification of whether **CVE-2025-2262** applies to the website, including affected software/version.
* Safe validation and proof-of-concept exploitation where appropriate.
* Authentication and authorization weaknesses.
* Attempts to determine whether an attacker could obtain **administrator-level access** through the identified vulnerability or related weaknesses.
* Testing for exposed credentials, authentication bypasses, privilege escalation, session weaknesses, and insecure access controls.
* Identification of any related vulnerabilities that could be chained with CVE-2025-2262 to increase impact.
* Testing should remain within the agreed website/domain and authorized scope.

## Important Security Requirement

This is an **authorized security assessment of my own website**. Please do not access unrelated systems, third-party accounts, or data outside the agreed scope.

Do not unnecessarily download, expose, or retain real user passwords or sensitive personal information. Where possible, use test accounts and sanitized proof-of-concept data.

## Deliverables

Please provide:

1. A clear description of whether CVE-2025-2262 is present and exploitable.
2. Evidence demonstrating the security impact, using a safe proof of concept.
3. A severity/risk rating for each confirmed issue.
4. Details of the attack path and affected components.
5. Screenshots or other evidence where useful, with sensitive information redacted.
6. Recommended remediation steps and configuration/code changes.
7. A final penetration-testing report suitable for a developer or website administrator.

## Ideal Freelancer

The freelancer should have demonstrated experience with:

* Web application penetration testing
* Vulnerability research and CVE validation
* Authentication and authorization testing
* Privilege escalation
* OWASP testing methodologies
* Secure proof-of-concept development
* Writing professional penetration-testing reports

Please include examples of relevant cybersecurity testing work, your preferred testing methodology, and your estimated timeline and fixed-price/hourly rate.
