Walgreens PowerPoint Master Template — Build Brief
Objective
A modern, clean PowerPoint master template (.potx) for Walgreens, built on the 2026 Brand Guidelines (Extended) as the style foundation, refined for practical, ongoing use across many internal teams.
Foundation
Visual DNA (grid, spacing, imagery, tone) sourced from Walgreens 2026 Brand Guidelines_Extended.
Front-matter "ways to use this template" structure adapted from the 2023 masterbrand .potx: In this presentation → Colors → Typography → Image selection → Brand photography → Brand marks → Icon library → Pictograms. Curate down — not every legacy operational slide is needed, only what genuinely helps ease of use.
Color — core-brand-specific, red as the through-line
Per the 2026 guidelines' own primary/secondary tagging:
Core Red
#E62600 — Primary. Logo, headlines, CTAs, key accents. Should read as the throughline across every layout.
Purple
#62002E — Secondary. Headlines/backgrounds, used sparingly.
Pink
#F5D3CF, Off-white
#F4F2EE — Secondary backgrounds only.
Black / White — text and contrast. Full extended seasonal palette (Fall/Spring/Summer/Winter) exists in the guidelines but should NOT be the template's default — keep the deck core-brand, not seasonal.
Typography — replacing Monument
Brand headline spec is Monument Narrow Black Italic; body/subhead is already Inter Regular/Medium. Recommended replacement for headlines (final pick TBD):
Inter Black Italic (headlines) + Inter Regular/Medium (body) — single family, zero incremental deployment burden, since Inter is already brand-approved for body copy.
Archivo Black Italic (headlines) + Inter (body) — free/open-source, closest in boldness/confidence to Monument.
Barlow Condensed Black Italic (headlines) + Inter (body) — closest silhouette match to Monument Narrow specifically; reserve for headlines/CTAs only, never body copy. All three are free, open-source (Google Fonts), and deploy easily org-wide — directly solving the "hard to manage across teams" issue with Monument.
Iconography & pictograms
Carry forward the existing icon library and 3-way pictogram set (white / neutral / clay background variants) from the 2023 masterbrand .potx. Flag in the front-matter that this library is a PowerPoint-specific asset, not part of the core brand guidelines system, and should only be used in PPT.
Scope recommendation
The legacy .potx has ballooned to 154 slides / 138 layouts over time. For a clean, manageable master, recommend curating to a core layout set:
Front matter (5-8 slides): ways to use, colors, typography, icon/pictogram library, brand marks
Title, agenda/section divider, content (1-col, 2-col, image+text), data/chart, quote/pull-quote, team/bio, timeline, closing/thank-you, Q&A — each with light/dark and photo/no-photo variants where useful
Target: ~20-30 layouts total, not a 1:1 port of every legacy slide
Font pick (Inter-only / Archivo / Barlow Condensed) — pending client sign-off.
