We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with strong experience in VoIP, WebRTC, SIP, telecom infrastructure, AWS, and Saudi Arabia technology/telecom requirements.

This is initially an architecture and technical documentation project, NOT a full development project.

We have a client who wants to build a large-scale calling platform in Saudi Arabia. We already have an initial technical concept, but we need an experienced architect to review it, validate the approach, identify technical and regulatory risks, and prepare a professional architecture document that we can present to the client.

If the client approves the architecture, there may be a separate opportunity to continue with the full implementation.

Project Background

The proposed platform will allow survey agents to make:

* App-to-App calls
* App-to-phone calls
* WebRTC calls
* SIP-based phone calls
* Calls through local Saudi telecom/SIP trunk infrastructure

The platform is expected to support high call volumes and a multi-tenant architecture.

Initial target is approximately 1,000 to 2,000 concurrent calls during peak usage, but we expect the architect to validate whether this target and the proposed architecture are technically realistic.

Your First Responsibility

Your main responsibility will be to create a complete technical architecture proposal for the client.

We will provide our initial concept and requirements.

You will need to:

* Review our proposed architecture
* Identify technical weaknesses and risks
* Recommend the correct architecture
* Design the complete system architecture
* Prepare professional architecture diagrams
* Define the major infrastructure components
* Define the call flow
* Define scalability and high-availability strategy
* Define security architecture
* Define multi-tenant architecture
* Define recording and CDR architecture
* Define AWS infrastructure
* Define WebRTC/SIP/Kamailio/Asterisk architecture
* Define mobile calling and push notification architecture
* Define monitoring and disaster recovery
* Prepare a clear implementation roadmap

Saudi Arabia Knowledge Is Very Important

We specifically want someone who understands the Saudi Arabian market and can help us design the solution appropriately for deployment in KSA.

The architect should have knowledge or strong experience with:

* Saudi telecom regulations
* CST requirements
* Saudi SIP/VoIP infrastructure
* Local telecom operators
* STC / Mobily / Zain
* Business SIP trunks
* Saudi CR/business requirements
* Data residency
* Saudi PDPL
* Cloud infrastructure requirements in Saudi Arabia
* Security and privacy requirements
* Local data hosting considerations
* Telecom licensing considerations

We do NOT want someone to simply assume that our current approach is compliant.

The architect must investigate the requirements and clearly identify:

1. What can legally/technically be implemented
2. What requires a telecom operator or licensed provider
3. What can be handled through a Saudi business/CR
4. What requires third-party telecom/SIP services
5. What data must remain inside Saudi Arabia
6. What approvals, registrations, contracts, or licenses may be required
7. Any risks with the proposed WebRTC/SIP approach
8. Any limitations imposed by Apple/Google/mobile networks
9. Any other Saudi-specific requirements we should consider

We will use this document to discuss the solution with the client, so accuracy is more important than simply producing a diagram.

Initial Technical Concept

Our current concept includes some or all of the following components:

* WebRTC
* Coturn
* Kamailio
* Asterisk / FreePBX
* SIP Trunks
* AWS Saudi Arabia region
* S3
* Database
* JWT authentication
* Multi-tenant architecture
* Call Detail Records
* Call recording
* Mobile SDK
* Apple APNs
* Google FCM
* Monitoring and logging
* Load/stress testing

However, these are NOT fixed requirements.

We want the architect to determine whether these are the right technologies and architecture for the project.

If a different technology or architecture would be better, we expect you to explain why and recommend it.

Expected First Deliverable

The first phase should result in a professional client-ready architecture document containing:

* Executive summary
* Business and technical requirements
* Proposed system architecture
* High-level architecture diagram
* Detailed technical architecture
* WebRTC/SIP call flow
* Telecom/SIP trunk architecture
* Kamailio/Asterisk architecture
* AWS architecture
* Multi-tenant architecture
* Authentication/security architecture
* Call recording architecture
* CDR/data architecture
* Mobile calling architecture
* Push notification flow
* Scalability strategy
* High-availability strategy
* Disaster recovery strategy
* Monitoring and logging
* Security considerations
* Saudi Arabia compliance/regulatory considerations
* Risks and assumptions
* Recommended third-party services
* Estimated infrastructure requirements
* Implementation phases
* Technical recommendations

Important

This first project is primarily for architecture and technical documentation.

We are NOT asking you to immediately develop the complete platform.

The goal is to have a senior architect produce a technically strong proposal that can be presented to our client.

If the client approves the architecture and moves forward, we may continue with the selected architect/team for the implementation phase.

Who We Are Looking For

We need a genuinely senior architect, not just an Asterisk developer.

Strong experience in several of the following is required:

* VoIP architecture
* WebRTC
* SIP
* Kamailio
* Asterisk
* FreePBX
* SIP Trunking
* AWS
* High-availability systems
* Large-scale calling platforms
* Multi-tenant SaaS
* Mobile VoIP
* APNs / FCM
* Telecom integrations
* Security architecture

Experience with Saudi Arabia or GCC telecom projects is a major advantage.

When Applying

Please provide:

1. Examples of VoIP/WebRTC architecture projects you have designed
2. Your experience with Saudi Arabia or GCC telecom projects
3. Your experience with CST/telecom requirements
4. Your experience with SIP trunks and local telecom operators
5. Your experience with AWS and high-availability VoIP infrastructure
6. Approximate scale of the largest calling system you have architected
7. Your estimated time to prepare the architecture document
8. Your fixed price for Phase 1 architecture/documentation

Please do not apply if your experience is limited to basic Asterisk installation, generic AWS architecture, or ordinary web application development.

We are specifically looking for someone who can take ownership of the architecture and help us determine the correct and compliant technical approach for a Saudi Arabia deployment.
