I have a test mp4 clip I just want the first scene, the first eight seconds, colour graded as below as a test.
The main goal is for it to feel very colourful, vivid and slightly surreal, but not warm/yellow. At the moment, increasing the saturation is making the whole scene yellow and the skin too red.
What I'm after:
Sky: I want the sky to read as a definite, rich blue, rather than grey/white. It may need to be isolated/masked or adjusted with HSL Secondary rather than relying on global colour correction. Please retain natural-looking white clouds/highlights where possible.
Skin: Keep the man's skin looking natural. At the moment his face becomes too red/orange when the rest of the scene is saturated. Please isolate/protect skin tones and reduce red/orange saturation as necessary.
Yellow cast: Remove the overall yellow/golden cast. I don't want a warm or sepia/cinematic look.
Greens: Make the grass/foliage richer and fresher — more green, less yellow-green. Other colours: Reds, blues, greens, fruit, table setting etc. can be strongly saturated. I want individual colours to feel distinct rather than the whole image simply becoming warmer.
Overall: Bright, lush, colourful, slightly heightened/surreal and beautiful. Think clean blue sky + vivid greens + saturated individual colours + believable skin. The colourfulness is important to the meaning of the scene, so I'm happy for it to look somewhat heightened rather than completely naturalistic. Please use selective colour/HSL/masks where necessary rather than just increasing global saturation. The two things I particularly want to avoid are yellow dominating the image and red/orange skin.
