Viral Video Editor Needed

Editor Requirements
Experience editing YouTube Shorts / TikTok / Reels
Strong understanding of audience retention and viral pacing
Able to edit emotional story / Dhar Mann-style videos
Create a strong hook in the first 1–3 seconds
Keep the video fast-paced with no unnecessary pauses
Add cuts/zooms/transitions every few seconds when appropriate
Use dynamic subtitles/captions that match the narration
Highlight important words with emphasis, animations, or effects
Add appropriate sound effects to increase emotional impact
Select/add background music that fits the scene without overpowering narration
Use visual changes/B-roll to prevent viewer drop-off
Build tension and curiosity throughout the video
Understand when to hold a shot vs. make a quick cut
Make emotional moments feel impactful without over-editing
Strong attention to detail and clean editing
Deliver videos in 9:16 vertical format, 1080×1920
Able to follow a provided editing style/reference video
Must be comfortable making revisions based on retention performance
Fast turnaround and consistent communication
Preferably experienced with CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar software
Must provide portfolio/examples of Shorts they have edited
Important Hiring Requirement
Don't just send a portfolio. I will provide a sample clip, and shortlisted editors must create a short test edit.
The test will be judged mainly on hook, pacing, retention, captions, sound design, and storytelling.
What I'm Looking For

I don't need someone who simply cuts clips together. I need an editor who understands why viewers keep watching.
