Video Transcript Translation: Icelandic & French

I have a fully timed English transcript that needs to be localised into both Icelandic and Canadian French. Each line already carries exact in-and-out timecodes, so the single most important rule is that every timestamp must remain perfectly aligned with the audio after translation.

Because this project covers two target languages, I am happy to award the whole job to one bilingual expert or split it between two specialists—what matters is native-level fluency and proven, expert-level experience with video transcription translation in the chosen language(s).

What you will work with
• A clean .srt file containing the English text and its original timecodes.
• Reference video for context.

What I expect in return
1. An Icelandic subtitle file mirroring the source timecodes line-for-line.
2. A Canadian French subtitle file doing the same.
3. Natural-sounding, culturally appropriate language that respects subtitle best practices (reading speed, line length, tone).
4. No shifts, overlaps or dropped cues—your final files should load straight into the video without further tweaking.

Feel free to use professional tools such as Subtitle Edit, Aegisub, memoQ, or your preferred CAT solution to keep terminology consistent, but please deliver in the original .srt (or .vtt) format.

If you are an expert in one language only, indicate that in your proposal; I will pair you with another translator for the second file. I’m ready to move quickly once I find the right fit, so please include a short note on similar timed-caption projects you’ve handled and your estimated turnaround.
