We're hiring contributors to record first-person "day in a life" footage using the Insta360 X5 camera, head-mounted, horizontal orientation only.
Locations & Pay Rate
- Australia, New Zealand — We're open to negotiating the rate. Please propose your rate per Approved (accepted) Hour when you apply.
Volume & Timeline
- We need 3,600 video assets total (≈10 minutes each) = 600 Approved Hours, split evenly across both countries: 1,800 assets / 300 hours each
- Training window: 21 September 2026 – 28 September 2026 (onboarding, consent, hardware setup, screening)
- Collection window: 28 September 2026 – 18 October 2026 (21 calendar days / 15 business days)
What We Need You To Do
- Purchase your own Insta360 X5 hardware kit from the approved sources (we reimburse against receipts; we retain ownership)
- Sign our consent form before any recording begins
- Record ~10-minute unscripted "day in a life" clips, drawn from 54 possible activity routines (cooking, cleaning, commuting, errands, hobbies, outdoor activities, etc.)
- Meet our camera spec on every clip (4K/30fps, MaxView 170° FOV, 16:9, head-mounted, horizontal only)
- Upload unedited original footage along with the required metadata per clip
Only accepted footage is paid — rejected or incomplete clips won't count
Requirements
- 18+ years old, based in and capturing footage in your home country (Australia or New Zealand)
- 3+ approved objects visible per clip (phone and watch required in nearly all clips)
- Fully authentic, unscripted behavior — no staged or scripted footage
- Willing to sign consent covering likeness, voice, and use of footage
- Footage from outside the stated countries or collection window won't be compensable
*Payment for this project will be processed through Freelancer’s Milestone Payment System. As this is an Enterprise project, milestones will be created and released only after the verified Enterprise client approves the work following a quality check. A project fee of 15% applies to this Enterprise engagement.
