Vibrant Daycare Interior Design

I’m fitting out a new day-care centre and need a creative interior designer who can shape two key zones—our classrooms and adjoining play areas—into safe, stimulating environments for children aged 0-4. The goal is a cohesive concept that marries colour, durability, and easy maintenance with an inviting, child-centred aesthetic.

What I’ll need from you
• A mood board and colour palette that feel playful yet calming
• Scaled floor plans showing furniture layout, storage, and clear staff sightlines, compliant with local safety regulations
• High-quality 3D renders or walkthroughs for both the classroom and play space
• An itemised FF&E schedule with product specs and sourcing links (ideally readily available or shippable items)
• Editable working files—SketchUp, Revit, or similar—plus PDF/JPEG exports for my contractor

I’ll supply current CAD drawings and brand guidelines once we lock in timelines. If you’ve designed early-childhood spaces before, include project samples so I can see how you’ve handled circulation, sensory zones, and age-appropriate furnishings.

I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right designer, and I look forward to collaborating on a space where our youngest learners feel inspired, secure, and free to explore.

NOTE Aug 29th, more details about my project:

I have a new floor plan layout (provided as a PDF) and the existing CAD drawings for a daycare center. I need you to redesign and complete the drawings based on the new layout, including all area planning and detailing.

The scope of work includes:

· Ceiling plans
· Lighting layout
· UV disinfection / sanitizing light placement
· CCTV / security camera system layout
· Detailed drawings for selected fixed cabinets / millwork
· Elevation designs (wall finishes, color schemes, etc.)
· A material schedule / list specifying colors, material types, and specifications for all finishes

For reference, I can provide design renderings from our other centers to give you a sense of our style and standards.

Once the design is finalized, I would also need 2D renderings / elevation views for each functional area.
