VCF 9 Network & Firewall Configuration

Our VMware Cloud Foundation 9 deployment is ready for its management-domain build and I need the underlying network finished off quickly and cleanly. The hosts sit on Aruba switches, and the remaining tasks centre on switchport updates, IP/DNS adjustments, and a complete firewall rollout so the VCF bring-up checks pass first time.
Work to be completed
• Aruba switchports: create or modify trunks/access ports, tag the correct VLANs for Management, vMotion, vSAN, NSX-Edge and future workload domains, then document every change.
• IP addressing: finalise the allocation plan, reserve management ranges and update any DHCP scopes.
• DNS: add the A/PTR records for SDDC Manager, vCenter, ESXi, NSX and support services so name resolution works end-to-end.
• Firewall: implement the draft rule set, apply policy updates and build the required NAT to let VCF reach external services (LCM, NTP, SMTP, MyVMware, etc.). The current spreadsheet of proposed rules is attached; it may receive minor tweaks once the production design is frozen.
Deliverables
1. Commented configuration snippets (or CLI captures) for every Aruba switch touched.
2. Updated IP/DNS workbook reflecting the live environment.
3. Export or screenshots of the completed firewall rules, policies and NAT objects.
4. Proof that all VCF 9 pre-checks return green after the changes.
Remote work is fine; access will be provided through our VPN and jump host. Change windows are flexible but must be agreed with operations ahead of time. If you have recent, hands-on experience with VCF and Aruba networking plus solid firewall expertise in rule creation, policy tuning and NAT, I’m confident you’ll find this a smooth engagement.
