# CHEMISTRY GRADUATE — SDS / CHEMICAL DATA VALIDATION

## PERFORMANCE-BASED PROJECT — MOLGOD.ORG

**MolGod.org** is developing a large chemical information database containing chemical products, molecular data and **SDS Reference Cards**.

We are looking for a person with a:

**Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a closely related chemical field.**

Your role will be to **review, check and scientifically validate chemical data contained in our SDS Reference Cards.**

This is NOT simple data entry.

## YOUR TASK

You will review SDS cards and verify whether the chemical information is scientifically correct and consistent.

Depending on the compound, you will check:

* CAS number
* chemical identity
* chemical name / synonyms
* molecular formula
* molecular weight
* structure / SMILES / InChI
* GHS / CLP classification
* hazard statements
* precautionary statements
* toxicological information
* ecological information
* physical and chemical properties
* transport information
* regulatory information
* source references
* consistency between different sections of the SDS

You will compare the information against authoritative scientific and regulatory sources where appropriate.

## THE OBJECTIVE

We want every reviewed SDS Reference Card to have a **documented scientific validation**.

You are not expected to blindly approve information.

If something is incorrect, incomplete, inconsistent or unsupported, you must:

**IDENTIFY → FLAG → CORRECT / RECOMMEND CORRECTION → PROVIDE SOURCE**

The objective is to create a reliable and traceable chemical information database.

## YOUR SCIENTIFIC AUTHORITY

Your academic qualification and professional review are important to this project.

We want users to know that our chemical data has been **reviewed by a qualified chemistry professional**, rather than generated and published without human verification.

Where appropriate, the reviewed data may display an attribution such as:

**“Reviewed / validated by a qualified chemistry professional.”**

The exact wording will depend on the validation process and project requirements.

## PERFORMANCE-BASED WORK

We are primarily interested in **verified results**, not hours worked.

You will be paid according to the number of SDS cards successfully reviewed and validated according to our agreed quality standard.

For example:

**X USD per correctly reviewed SDS card.**

Quality is more important than speed.

Repeated errors, unsupported approvals or superficial reviews will not qualify as successful validation.

## FIRST STAGE

We will begin with a small test batch.

You will receive several SDS Reference Cards and will be asked to:

1. review the chemical data;
2. verify the information against reliable sources;
3. identify errors/inconsistencies;
4. document corrections;
5. provide source references;
6. approve the card only when the agreed validation criteria are satisfied.

Successful completion of the test batch will determine whether we continue with a larger workload.

## IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemistry;
* experience with SDS / Safety Data Sheets;
* knowledge of GHS / CLP;
* understanding of chemical toxicology and hazard classification;
* experience with chemical databases;
* strong attention to detail;
* ability to work independently;
* ability to research authoritative scientific sources;
* good written English.

Experience with **REACH, ECHA, CLP, PubChem, NIST or similar chemical/regulatory sources** is a strong advantage.
