What We’re Looking For
Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Utilization Management Data Analyst to join our team! The Utilization Management Data Analyst supports operational, financial, and health outcome performance improvement initiatives within the Utilization Management team. This role gathers and documents requirements from clinical and business stakeholders, develops and tests dashboards and reports, and helps ensure ongoing data quality and integrity. The role collaborates with IT and informatics teams to align work with enterprise data strategy and needs. Additionally, the Utilization Management Data Analyst assists in training colleagues on the use and interpretation of dashboards as they are produced.
On a typical day, you might:
Collaborate with medical directors, business leadership, and utilization management staff to develop and continuously improve reporting design and requirements.
Develop, test, and train users on new dashboards, visualization tools, and perform ad hoc in-depth data analysis in support of Utilization Management and change management objectives.
Conduct analyses, summarize, and interpret results, using structured query language (SQL), BI tools, or other analytics tools.
Internalize business problems, translate them into actionable analyses or solutions, develop reports, and prepare presentations of complex analytic concepts and research results to non-analytical audiences.
Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for reporting needs and user training.

Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years’ experience working in a healthcare data or technology environment, including using statistical and visualization tools and techniques for data extraction and analysis; OR
Equivalent combination of education/experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must reside within North Carolina.
Must be able to travel within catchment as required.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree
Degree in health administration, informatics, biostatistics, or similar field
Experience working in a healthcare data and/or technology environment, within a payer organization
Experience with process improvement, statistical methods, or total cost management in healthcare
Experience supervising, mentoring, or training colleagues in dashboarding development, testing and utilization
SQL, Power BI, or equivalent Microsoft data systems certifications
