I handle a steady flow of HVAC and plumbing design work for projects across the United States and I’m looking for a mechanical engineer who can step in on an ongoing basis. The core need is straightforward: produce complete, code-compliant design drawings and plans that I can issue to architects, contractors, and permitting officials without extra rework.
Typical tasks will include laying out ductwork and pipe runs, selecting equipment, annotating schedules, and making sure every sheet aligns with relevant U.S. standards (IMC, IPC, ASHRAE, local amendments, etc.). I usually mark up a background or share a Revit/AutoCAD model and expect you to turn that into polished construction documents—title blocks, legends, and all.
Because the workload fluctuates, I’d like someone comfortable picking up a small set one week and a full package the next, always meeting the agreed turnaround. If you have a solid portfolio of HVAC and plumbing projects and are confident working independently while staying responsive over email or Teams, let’s discuss the first assignment and see how we fit.
