• Identify and vet at least three qualified suppliers, providing full contact details, typical monthly capacity, recent photos, and price indications.
• Verify each yard’s environmental, export, and licensing compliance so paperwork flows smoothly.
• Negotiate indicative terms (FOB or delivered) and flag any hidden costs such as loading or documentation fees.
• Arrange or oversee sampling so I can run melt tests before locking in larger volumes.
• Summarise freight options if the supplier prefers FOB, including ballpark trucking costs to the nearest port or smelter.
