URGENT: React Native Android App Update to Android 16 (API Level 36) – Google Play Compliance

I have an existing React Native mobile application for Android and iOS that is already developed and published on Google Play.

Google Play has notified me that the application must target Android 16 (API Level 36) before the compliance deadline.

I am looking for an experienced React Native developer to upgrade the Android project, resolve any compatibility issues, thoroughly test the application, and deliver a release-ready Android App Bundle (.AAB).

This is not a new application. The complete source code will be provided to the successful bidder.

Android currently targets API Level 35
Android & iOS source code available
Backend already operational
Google Play Console access available

Scope of Work

The successful developer will be required to:

Upgrade the Android project to target API Level 36
Update compileSdkVersion and targetSdkVersion
Update Gradle, Android SDK and project dependencies where necessary
Resolve all build and compatibility issues
Ensure compatibility with Android 16
Test the application on Android 16 and older supported Android versions
Ensure all existing functionality continues to work correctly
Generate a signed release Android App Bundle (.AAB)
Assist with publishing the update to Google Play (if required)
Provide the updated source code

Confirmation that the application successfully targets Android API Level 36

Basic testing report
