Upload Project Files to GitHub

I already have a complete set of project files on my computer and simply need them living safely on GitHub. Your task is to take those files, create (or use) a repository under my account, make a clean initial commit, and push everything so it is publicly accessible (or private if you advise that’s wiser).
Before we start, I’d like a clear, step-by-step proposal describing how you plan to:
• obtain the files from me,
• structure the repository (folders, README, .gitignore, etc.),
• perform the upload—whether through the command line, GitHub Desktop, or another tool, and
• confirm that every file has been transferred intact.
Deliverables
• A GitHub repository containing my full project, properly organised.
• At least one well-labeled commit visible in the history.
• A concise README and suitable .gitignore if they add value.
Once I pull the repo locally without errors, I’ll consider the job complete.
