Uplifting LGBTQ+ Culture Articles

Our digital magazine is putting together a new section that spotlights LGBTQ+ culture and entertainment, and I’m commissioning a series of inspiring, feel-good feature articles to kick it off. Each piece should celebrate artists, creators, events, or trends that highlight the vibrancy of our community while remaining accessible to readers who may be encountering these subjects for the first time.

Here’s what I need from you:
• One polished article to start, 1,000–1,200 words, ready for publication (headline, sub-heads, pull-quotes, and a short teaser).
• A warm, uplifting tone—think conversational storytelling that still respects journalistic standards for accuracy.
• At least two fresh interviews or firsthand perspectives woven in naturally (email, Zoom, or social DMs are fine; please cite names and pronouns).
• Relevant links, factual verification, and proper attribution for any statistics or quoted material.
• Original angles that avoid clichés and tokenism; intersectionality is a must.

Preferred tools: Google Docs for collaborative edits, Grammarly or similar for a clean draft, and basic SEO awareness so the piece can rank organically around clearly identified keywords.

Once the first article is approved, I’m open to discussing a continuing column or multi-part series. Send a brief pitch on the topic you’d like to cover, a snapshot of your writing background, and links to two published clips that showcase your voice.
