Update & Test 3 WordPress Sites

I need an experienced WordPress developer, preferably with WP Engine experience, to safely update and test three existing websites:

entrepreneursolutions.co.uk
blueocean-teamevents.co.uk
blueoceanactivities.co.uk

The websites are currently working correctly, but WordPress/plugins/themes have not been updated for some time and some environments may be running an older PHP version.

All significant updates must be carried out and tested on a WP Engine staging environment first. Please do not simply run bulk updates directly on the live websites.

The work should include:

Backup/checkpoint before work starts.
Review WordPress, plugins, themes and PHP version.
Update WordPress, plugins and themes safely on staging first.
Check compatibility with a current supported PHP version and upgrade where appropriate.
Fix minor problems caused directly by the updates.
Test the staging website before updating Production.
Update the live Production site only once staging has passed testing.
Re-test the live Production website after deployment.
Test desktop, tablet and mobile layouts.
Test Chrome, Edge, Safari, iPhone/Safari and Android/Chrome where possible.
Test navigation, mobile menus, forms, buttons, important links and key pages.
Check for obvious errors/broken functionality.
Testing report required

For each website, I require a short completion/testing report showing:

Browsers/devices tested, screen sizes tested, pages/functions checked, forms tested, any problems discovered, what was fixed and confirmation that the live Production site was re-tested after deployment.

Please include screenshots or other evidence of testing. A simple email/message saying “all updated and tested” will not be accepted as the completion report.

Please use an appropriate cross-browser/device testing method such as BrowserStack, LambdaTest, Sauce Labs or real devices, and state in your bid which testing method/software you will use.

If a significant pre-existing problem or something requiring substantial additional development is discovered, please stop and contact me before carrying out additional chargeable work.

Milestones

Please provide a separate fixed price for each website. I want them completed in this order:

Milestone 1 – entrepreneursolutions.co.uk
This is the least important site and will be completed first.

Milestone 2 – blueocean-teamevents.co.uk

Milestone 3 – blueoceanactivities.co.uk

Each milestone will be released after that website has been updated, tested and the completion report/evidence has been supplied.
