Update CAD Drawings from PDF

I have an existing CAD file that now needs to reflect the latest PDF plans I’ve received. The PDFs show several new partitions, re-configured offices, and other layout tweaks across the floor. Every visible change on those PDFs—walls, doors, room outlines, you name it—must appear in the updated drawing, but I still want to keep the current CAD layer structure, linetypes, and annotation style so nothing feels out of place when the file is reopened here.

Use the PDF purely as a visual guide: copy the geometry, respect the proportions, but do not overwrite the established title blocks, layers, or dimension styles unless a clash makes that impossible. Accuracy is important, yet the aim is consistency with our existing drafting standards rather than an exact label-for-label replica.

I have attached a CAD version and PDF version of the plans, along with a PDF containing the dimensions and instructions for the added walls & offices. On the PDF version of the plans, I have called out the locations where you will be making changes.

When you’re done, send back a clean DWG that’s ready to slot straight into our project set.

Deliverable:
• One updated DWG file reflecting every layout change shown on the PDF plans, drafted in our current CAD style.

I’m ready to share the original CAD file and PDFs as soon as you’re on board and can turn feedback around quickly if you have any questions along the way.
