I manage our university’s Student Information System and need a technically savvy partner to keep it running at peak performance while we expand its capabilities. Day to day, the work ranges from fine-tuning system configuration, maintaining a clean permission hierarchy, and automating routine admin tasks, through to digging into database queries when the system slows down or an integration drops data.

You’ll be hands-on with:
• System configuration & ongoing management
• User account lifecycle, roles, and permissions
• Reporting, analytics, and custom queries

Current pain points I want resolved quickly:
• Intermittent performance slow-downs during high-traffic periods
• Data integration failures between the SIS and our LMS/HR platforms
• Occasional access errors for staff and students

Deliverables I expect:
1. An audit report outlining root causes of the above issues and a remediation plan.
2. Implemented fixes and optimisations with before/after metrics.
3. A streamlined permission model documented for future admins.
4. At least three reusable reporting templates (SQL or BI tool of your choice).
5. Clear documentation and a short hand-over session.

Please share projects where you have tackled similar SIS challenges, the technologies you used (SQL, APIs, scripting, monitoring tools, etc.), and the results you delivered. Solid problem-solving skills, meticulous documentation, and experience in a higher-education environment will stand out.
