# Ultra-Thin Mechanical Image Switching System – Endless Loop (20 Cards)
Hello everyone,
I previously posted a similar project, but my account was unexpectedly closed for reasons I do not understand, so I was unable to respond to the freelancers who submitted proposals. I am now posting the project again.
**Let me explain our project as simply as possible.**
We are designing a thin company product catalog measuring 35 × 25 cm. On the left side, there will be a vertical window displaying product images.
When the user scrolls a small mouse-style wheel forward with their finger, the next image should appear. Scrolling again should display the following image.
The system will contain **20 vertical image cards, each measuring 16 × 6 cm.**
### Dimensions and Requirements
- **Panel size:** 35 × 25 cm
- **Display window:** 16 × 6 cm (vertical)
- **Number of cards:** 20
- **Total thickness:** Maximum 8 mm (including front and back covers)
- **Operation:** Fully mechanical, no electronics or motors
### Our 3 Main Requirements
**1. Endless Loop**
After the 20th card, the system must automatically return to the 1st card. No rewinding or manual resetting should be required.
**2. Easy Operation**
The user must be able to rotate a small mouse-style wheel comfortably with one finger, without applying excessive force.
**3. Accurate Image Positioning**
Each wheel movement should bring exactly one new card fully into the display window. Images must not stop halfway or become misaligned.
### Our Initial Mechanism Idea
We have considered a system inspired by tank tracks, where thin, interconnected card holders move continuously in a closed loop.
The attached illustration is only intended to explain our idea. **You are not required to use this mechanism.**
You are free to choose the card material, shape, connections, and movement method. Flexible film, individual cards, or completely different mechanical approaches are all acceptable.
### What We Expect From Engineers
Please do not simply write **"I can do this project."**
We would like you to briefly explain **which technical approach you would use, how your mechanism would work, and how 20 images could move in an endless loop within a maximum total thickness of 8 mm.**
### IMPORTANT
**You do not have to follow our tank-track concept.**
We have simply explained what we want to achieve and shared one possible idea.
If you have a different mechanical solution that can display 20 images sequentially using a small mouse-style wheel, without rewinding, while meeting the specified dimensions, **we are completely open to your approach.**
Thank you.
