I need an experienced product or mechanical designer to create an enclosure that keeps my small PCB board as thin as physically possible. It is for a hospital product worn by a nurse. I have included a sample idea. The board will sit inside a handheld / wearable device, so every fraction of a millimetre counts for comfort in a pocket or against the body. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THE FINISHED PRODUCT AS THIN AS POSSIBLE. CHANGING THE WAY THE BATTERY IS INSTALLED COULD REDUCE THE THICKNESS OF THE DEVICE. The battery currently determines teh minimum thickness. MAYBE A HOLE IN THE PCB FOR THE BATTERY? I also NEED ADVICE ON THE LOCKING MECHANISM OR HOW TO CONNECT THE TWO PIECES TOGETHER. four screws? one screw? battery will need to be changed on occasion. also there is a place for a light on the board that will need corresponding hole and also a place where a vibration device needs to sit and contact the board.

There is no styling overhaul required—the priority is compressing overall thickness without sacrificing component clearances, thermal safety or structural integrity. A clever internal stacking strategy, material selection suited to thin-wall moulding, and thoughtful connector access are all aspects I expect you to balance. Rapid turnaround is critical; I’d like initial concepts immediately and a manufacturable model right after approval.

Deliverables
• 3D CAD files (STEP or SolidWorks) ready for injection-moulding or high-resolution printing
• Dimensioned drawings highlighting wall thicknesses, tolerances and assembly method
• A brief report on material choice and any cooling or reinforcement features

If you have proven work in ultra-compact consumer electronics enclosures and can start right away, let’s make this happen.
