I am looking for a UI/UX designer for ongoing part time work on a mobile app that is already live on Android and iOS. It has real users, so this is design for a product in use, not a concept from scratch.
You would design in Figma and hand off to our in-house Flutter developers. You are not writing code, but you will be coordinating closely with them, so designs need to be clear enough that handoff is smooth and questions are rare.
This is a long term engagement. I want someone who stays with the product for months and gets to know it, not one quick project.
Schedule: this role runs in the evening. I need availability roughly 7 pm to 11 or 12 pm, IST, most working days. Total commitment is 10 to 15 hours a week.
What we are looking for:
1. Mandatory:
• Strong, conversational English. You will be going back and forth with the team directly, so you need to be easily understood in writing and on a call.
• Proficiency in Figma, including building and working with components, variants and a shared design system.
• Comfortable working in Figma with a team, inside a shared file and library, not just solo personal projects.
2. Others:
• Familiarity with Jira is useful. Not required. If you have not used it, that is fine, you will pick it up.
• A portfolio of mobile apps that actually shipped to the stores. Concept work is not what I am judging on.
• Clean developer handoff: organised files, named layers, specs and states a developer can build from without guessing.
This is paid as a monthly amount rather than by the hour. We will agree the figure over a short call once we have shortlisted.
To bid, answer these four:
1. A link to your portfolio, pointing to one or two mobile apps that are live on the stores.
2. Confirm your evening availability in the 7 pm to 11/12 pm window, and your timezone.
3. Are you proficient in speaking and writing English?
4. A line or two in your own words about your experience working in Figma as part of a team, not solo.
Start your bid with the word "Baseline" so I know you read this. Bids missing the three answers will be skipped.
First piece of work will be a small paid task so we can both see how it goes.
