I have a stack of scanned PDF documents that need to be converted into clean, fully editable text. Your task is straightforward: open each PDF, type every word exactly as it appears—maintaining spelling, punctuation, line breaks, and any simple tables—into an editable file (Word or Google Docs is fine). Accuracy is far more important to me than speed; I will be spot-checking the output against the originals.
The workflow is flexible: you may use your own OCR tool to speed things up, but the final result must be manually proof-read so it matches the source perfectly—no missing characters or formatting glitches. If a word is unclear in the scan, leave a highlighted note so I can review it.
Deliverables
• One neatly formatted .docx or Google Doc for each scanned PDF
• Turnaround status updates every 24 hours once work begins
• A brief summary of any unreadable sections noted inside the file
Once the first batch is complete to spec, I’ll have additional PDFs ready, so reliable quality could lead to ongoing work.
