I’m looking for someone skilled in applied mathematics who can walk me through the fundamentals of differentiation, integration, basic set theory and core algebra. The aim is not simply to solve a few homework questions; I want clear, concept-driven lessons that build my intuition and leave me confident tackling problems on my own.
Here’s what I have in mind:
• Short, focused online sessions where you explain each topic from first principles and then guide me through progressively harder examples.
• Supplementary practice problems (with full, step-by-step solutions) that I can work on between sessions.
• Clarification of any stumbling blocks I hit, whether it’s recognising which rule to use, manipulating algebraic expressions or setting up integrals correctly.
I learn best through interactive discussion and real-world illustrations, so if you can weave in practical, applied-math contexts—say, simple rate-of-change or area‐under-curve examples—that would be ideal. Screen-sharing tools, a digital whiteboard or neatly written PDF notes are all fine; use whatever medium lets us work smoothly.
Please let me know your preferred teaching schedule, the software you like to use (Zoom, Microsoft Whiteboard, Overleaf, etc.), and any background materials you’d recommend I read beforehand. If you have sample lesson notes or recorded snippets of past sessions, feel free to share them so I can gauge our fit.
