Our client is hiring an experienced Traveling Crew Supervisor to support demolition projects across multiple markets.
This is a full-time field leadership role for someone who is comfortable with project-based travel. Candidates may be based anywhere in the U.S., as long as they live within reasonable access to a major airport.
The right candidate will have demolition field experience, prior crew leadership experience, and the ability to keep work moving safely and efficiently on active job sites. This person does not need to operate heavy equipment, but they must understand how demolition equipment is used safely and effectively in the field.
What You'll Do
As a Traveling Crew Supervisor, you will help lead demolition field crews and support daily jobsite production across assigned projects.
Responsibilities include:
Supervise daily demolition crew activity in the field
Lead laborers, equipment operators, foremen, and other jobsite personnel
Support structural demolition and selective/interior demolition projects
Help plan daily work with the Superintendent or Project Manager
Communicate job requirements, safety expectations, and production goals to the crew
Make sure tools, materials, and equipment are ready for the day's work
Ensure equipment checks and safety inspections are completed
Monitor crew productivity, work quality, and jobsite safety
Keep the Superintendent or Project Manager updated on progress, issues, and jobsite needs
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements
Lead or support toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and incident reporting
Complete daily reports, time entry, cost codes, and other required field documentation
Travel to project sites as assigned
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate has demolition or heavy construction field experience and has already supervised crews in active jobsite environments.
Required qualifications:
Demolition or heavy construction experience
Prior experience leading or supervising field crews
Ability to travel for project-based assignments
Ability to live within reasonable access to a major airport
Strong understanding of demolition practices and jobsite hazards
Working knowledge of heavy equipment used in demolition
Ability to manage daily production, safety, and jobsite workflow
Comfortable completing daily reports, time entry, cost codes, and safety documentation
Strong communication and field leadership skills
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass required background, drug screen, and driving record checks
Ability to work outdoors in active construction/demolition environments
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with structural demolition, selective demolition, or interior demolition
Experience supervising laborers, operators, foremen, drivers, subcontractors, or mixed crews
Experience working around excavators, loaders, skid steers, shears, grapples, hammers, roll-offs, dump trucks, trailers, or similar equipment
Safety certifications related to construction or demolition environments
Travel and Support
This is a travel-based role. Candidates should be comfortable traveling to project sites as assigned.
Travel-related support may include:
Per diem when applicable
Lodging when applicable
Company truck
Fuel card
Travel coordination based on project assignment
