I’m assembling a photo-driven coffee-table book that celebrates a specific place, its culture, and the joy of travel. The visuals are already in progress; what I need now is a writer who can weave a light, conversational narrative around those images so every page feels welcoming and easy to dip into.
Scope
• Shape a clear structure—intro, themed chapters, transitions, and short sidebars—so the book flows naturally from one spread to the next.
• Craft engaging copy for each photo set: punchy captions, brief anecdotes, and concise background notes that invite readers into the scene without weighing them down.
• Keep the tone friendly and talkative, steering clear of overly formal language while still respecting cultural nuances.
• Conduct desktop research (and, if practical, quick interviews via email) to verify facts about local traditions, landmarks, and everyday life.
• Edit and proofread your own drafts so the manuscript is ready for layout.
Deliverables
1. Chapter outline with word counts.
2. First-draft manuscript aligned to the approved outline.
3. Final, proofed manuscript in Word and PDF, fully fact-checked and caption-ready.
Acceptance Criteria
• Consistent, light, conversational voice throughout.
• All factual references verifiable via reputable sources.
• Text lengths match the layout slots provided (I will share exact character limits).
• Zero spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors in the final hand-off.
I’m happy to clarify details about the destination, share sample spreads, and schedule quick check-ins as you write. Let’s create a book readers will want to leaf through again and again.
