I have a short fiction manuscript that needs to move from its current language into fluent, literary Hindi and be clean-typed in Unicode so it is press-ready. The story is under 100 pages, light on technical terms but rich in dialogue and narrative tone, so I need someone who can capture nuance rather than create a literal word-for-word copy.
You will work from the supplied PDF and deliver a neatly formatted Word file (and matching PDF) in standard A4 layout, with chapter headings, paragraph breaks and italics exactly where they belong. Accuracy in spelling, punctuation and dialogue punctuation marks is crucial; I will do a line-by-line check, so consistency matters more than speed.
Deliverables:
• Fully translated Hindi manuscript in .docx (Unicode)
• Final proof-read PDF reflecting the same pagination
If you have experience translating modern fiction and can type quickly without sacrificing literary flow, I’d like to see a short sample of previous work. Let me know your expected turnaround time and any questions you have about tone or terminology.
