I’m ready to turn a 900 sq ft one-room retreat into reality and need a designer-engineer who can deliver full construction-ready blueprints. The vision is a traditional rustic cabin influenced by historical cabins—think time-worn character with practical modern comforts.
Scope of the space
• Open 1-room layout that flows from bedroom zone into a modest kitchen and sitting area
• Separate bathroom
• Wood-burning stove as a focal point and heat source
• Mini-split A/C for discreet cooling
• Eight windows and two exterior doors placed for balanced daylight and cross-breeze
• Exterior and roof clad in reclaimed corrugated metal; interior wrapped in reclaimed wood boards
• Polished concrete slab serving as finished floor
What I need from you
1. Complete set of construction-ready drawings: floor plan, elevations, sections, roof/framing plans, window/door schedule, and all critical dimensions.
2. Material and finish specifications that reflect the reclaimed metal and wood palette.
3. Mechanical and electrical layout notes showing the wood stove clearances and mini-split placement.
4. Structural details sufficient for a local engineer to stamp, including foundation and roof connections suitable for metal cladding.
5. A final PDF set plus editable CAD files (DWG or Revit preferred) so my builder can make field adjustments.
Acceptance criteria
• Drawings align with the 900 sf footprint and traditional rustic aesthetic.
• Dimensions and callouts are complete enough for permit submission.
• Reclaimed materials and polished concrete are clearly specified.
• All files are delivered in both print-ready PDF and native CAD format.
If you have experience with small-scale rustic builds, adaptive-reuse materials, or off-grid cabins, I’d love to see examples in your portfolio. Let’s craft a set of plans that feels authentic, efficient, and ready to hand straight to the builder.
