I’m creating a cross-platform action-adventure where players command a toy soldier across a lively miniature battlefield. The vision is a stylized look—think exaggerated plastics, bright diorama props, and dynamic lighting—presented exclusively from a tight third-person camera.
Scope of work
You’ll take the concept from empty scene to ship-ready builds on Windows PC, Android, and iOS. Roughly ten missions will introduce escalating objectives: battling enemy toy infantry, tanks, jeeps, aircraft and memorable boss encounters, all wrapped in a collectible-driven progression loop. While there’s no multiplayer component, moment-to-moment combat must feel polished and responsive on both desktop and mobile touch controls.
Core responsibilities you’ll own
• Level and mission design that teaches mechanics and ramps difficulty smoothly
• Character, vehicle and prop integration with stylized shaders and performant PBR materials
• AI behaviour trees for infantry, vehicles and bosses
• Responsive third-person controller with context-sensitive actions (aim, roll, take cover, interact)
• Pick-up and upgrade system for collectibles
• Menu, HUD, pause and settings screens adapted for mouse/keyboard and touch
• Final optimisation, platform-specific input mapping and store-ready builds
• Clean, well-commented Unity or Unreal project with all art, code, audio and editor settings included
Deliverables (acceptance criteria)
1. Fully playable campaign of ~10 missions, each finishing bug-free on target devices
2. One Windows PC build (.exe) and separate Android & iOS builds ready for store submission
3. Complete source project, organised and documented for future updates
4. Brief technical document outlining project structure, third-party plugins, and build steps
If you or your team excel at squeezing performance from stylized visuals and enjoy crafting tight, toy-box combat, I’d love to review your approach, timeline and any relevant portfolio pieces.
