Towing Data Capture Mobile App

I run a busy towing operation and need a single mobile app, available on both iOS and Android, that records every vehicle we collect and instantly pushes the data to our existing logs and government registers.

Core workflow
• The driver opens the app, snaps one clear photo of the vehicle. Using on-device OCR the app should pull the registration plate, make, model and—by tapping into the phone’s GPS—stamp the exact street location.
• A short form then appears so the driver can confirm or edit those auto–captured fields and add any extra notes (damage, special instructions, etc.).
• The driver scans or types the handwritten tow docket number; the app files each piece of information in the correct section automatically.
• Once saved, the record (vehicle + tow details together) syncs to our main database and any connected registers. Near-real-time syncing is ideal, but the app must cache data securely when offline and push it once a signal returns.

Deliverables
1. Universal mobile app (iOS & Android) built with a cross-platform framework you are comfortable with—Flutter, React Native, or similar.
2. OCR module accurate enough to recognise Australian number plates in day or night conditions.
3. Secure local storage plus encrypted API calls for remote syncing.
4. Admin web panel or simple backend endpoint so I can export, search and audit the records.
5. Brief user guide and source code hand-off.

Acceptance criteria
• Successful extraction of plate, make and model on at least 90 % of clear photos during testing.
• New records visible in our central log within 60 seconds once connectivity is available.
• No crashes or data loss through 48 hours of continuous field use.
