Torquay Office PC & LAN Setup

I have three brand-new Windows desktops that need to be unboxed, configured and made fully productive in our small Torquay office. Once the initial user accounts are created, I’d like Microsoft Office (full suite) and a reputable antivirus solution installed and activated on each machine.

Our workplace Internet connection needs to CD configured, the internal network needs to be built. I want a hybrid layout: hard-wired Ethernet to the desks for speed and reliability, plus strong, secure Wi-Fi for mobiles and visiting laptops. You’ll need to advise on a small switch, run or tidy the cabling, position an access point, configure SSIDs, encryption and guest access and then make sure every device new PCs, existing laptops, network printer and a label printer can see each other and the internet without hiccups.

Deliverables
• Three Windows PCs fully updated, with Office Suite and antivirus installed and licensed
• Wired and wireless segments operating on the same subnet, with DHCP, DNS and gateway settings verified
• Printer and label printer discovered by all computers and test pages printed
• Basic walk-through so staff know how to log in, print and connect to Wi-Fi

The job is on-site, so you’ll need to visit our Torquay premises; scheduling is flexible but sooner is better. Bring any tools you normally need for cable work and network configuration—routers, switches or cabling we’ll reimburse by prior agreement. Once everything is running smoothly and users are happy, the project is done.
