I’m looking to have an entire 2D top-down RPG built from the ground up. The game must feel polished and complete, not just a prototype or vertical slice.

Core pillars
• Genre: RPG – character progression, inventory, quests, the works.
• Perspective: strictly top-down, classic 16-bit style movement and camera.
• Mechanics required: a responsive real-time combat system and a branching dialogue system that supports choices and consequences.

I’m open on engine choice—Unity, Godot or another 2D-friendly tool—so long as the final build runs smoothly on Windows (additional platforms are a bonus).

Scope highlights
• Design and implement the combat loop: hit-boxes, enemy AI, damage, health, loot drops.
• Create the dialogue framework with NPC states, multiple dialogue branches and event triggers.
• Build at least one small overworld zone, an interior area, and a dungeon to demonstrate flow.
• Supply original or properly licensed pixel art, animations and audio, or coordinate with external asset packs if you prefer.
• Provide save/load functionality and basic settings (audio, key-rebinding).
• Source code must be clean, commented and handed over with a quick-start readme.

Acceptance criteria
1. A playable executable showcasing all required mechanics.
2. No critical bugs during a 30-minute continuous playtest.
3. Full project source and assets delivered in an organized repository.

If this sounds like your type of project, let’s discuss milestones and creative direction.
