I have outlined an adventure–mystery–sci-fi tale set in 2045 that pivots around a malfunctioning time machine and a dramatic jump to 1945. The piece is intended as a Short story for an All ages readership, so the tone should stay fast-paced and accessible while still delivering solid science-fiction intrigue.
You will expand my existing beats—Arav’s first test, the accidental jump, the hunt for clues in wartime streets, and the reveal that the shadowy figure is his future self—into a polished narrative. I’d like engaging dialogue, vivid period detail, and a satisfying dilemma at the end: should Arav alter history or preserve it?
Deliverables
• A complete, well-edited short story in Word or Google Docs
• Scene breaks that mirror the “Missions” I sketched (Mission 1: The First Jump, etc.)
• Brief chapter or section titles that heighten suspense
• Two revision passes after initial delivery so we can fine-tune pacing and character voice
Acceptance Criteria
• Reads smoothly for all ages without complex jargon
• Maintains internal logic of time-travel mechanics introduced in the outline
• Closes with a clear choice for Arav that feels earned, leaving room for sequel potential
If you enjoy crafting tightly plotted speculative fiction and can keep the sense of wonder front and center, this project should be a perfect fit.
