I need a working TIA Portal V17 project that lets me test and demonstrate basic control logic on a Siemens S7-1200. The goal is to open the file in my own installation, start PLCSIM (standard or Advanced, whichever you prefer), and watch the logic execute without errors.
Scope
• Create a clean project with the correct S7-1200 hardware configuration.
• Write and comment the fundamental control routines I will specify once we start (start/stop, interlocks, simple timers, fault reset). Keep the code in LAD or FBD so it is easy to follow.
• Set up tags and watch tables so I can toggle inputs and observe outputs during simulation.
• Provide a brief note inside the project (or as a PDF) explaining how to start the simulation and what to look for.
Acceptance
I will load the project, run it in PLCSIM, flip the virtual inputs, and confirm that the outputs behave as described in the comments. No compile errors, no missing hardware, and everything clearly labeled.
Deliverables
1. The .ap17 project file ready to open in TIA Portal V17.
2. Any auxiliary files (watch tables, HMI screens if you use them as indicators).
3. Short usage note.
If you’re fluent with TIA Portal and comfortable simulating the S7-1200, this should be quick. Let me know your timeline and I’ll share the exact I/O list right away.
