I want to launch a browser-based portal that uses Three.js to deliver fully interactive 3D simulations in Science, Mathematics and History. The content supports a proprietary literacy program rather than a traditional grade level, so the interface needs to be intuitive for learners who may span several age groups and reading abilities.
Core experience
• Each simulation should load quickly, respond smoothly to mouse, touch and keyboard input and run on all modern desktop and mobile browsers.
• Scenes will combine text overlays, animated models and simple quiz elements so learners can explore concepts and immediately test their understanding.
• Clean, well-commented code and modular structure are essential, as I will extend the library with additional simulations later.
Technology expectations
Three.js is the primary framework, backed by standard HTML5, CSS and vanilla JavaScript or a lightweight build system of your choice. Please avoid heavy dependencies unless they clearly improve performance or maintainability.
Deliverables
1. Responsive website shell with a landing page and menu system for topic selection.
2. Three working demo simulations (one each for Science, Mathematics and History) that showcase best-practice scene setup, camera controls and basic assessment interactions.
3. Setup guide and concise developer notes so future modules can follow the same pattern.
Acceptance criteria
• Average frame rate ≥ 45 fps on mid-range mobile devices.
• No console errors in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
• HTML, CSS and JS pass standard accessibility and linting checks.
With these pieces in place I can plug in new lessons as my literacy curriculum grows, confident that learners will enjoy a consistent, engaging 3D experience.
