Thermal Label Watermark Enhancement

I have a sample label whose watermark almost disappears once it runs through my direct thermal printer on thin, standard-weight paper. Your task is to tweak that existing artwork so the watermark prints crisp and discernible without interfering with the rest of the design.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Adjust opacity, line weight, or pattern of the current watermark—whatever combination delivers the best contrast on a direct thermal printout.
• Keep every other design element exactly where it is; only the watermark should change.
• Supply the updated file in the same editable format I provide (Adobe Illustrator or high-res PDF) plus a print-ready version.
Acceptance criteria
1. When I print your revision on my direct thermal printer, the watermark remains clearly visible against the background while the text and barcodes stay sharp.
2. No new artifacts, shifts in alignment, or colour changes appear elsewhere on the label.
If you have experience preparing artwork specifically for direct thermal equipment and understand how heat-sensitive coatings interact with line density, you’ll breeze through this. Please tell me how you plan to approach the opacity and pattern tweaks, and estimate how many iterations you might need after my first test print.
