I have finalized the manuscript for my personal cookbook, The Mitchelin Cookbook, and am looking to start professional formatting and design. This cookbook combines heartfelt recipes, family stories, and photography to serve as a cherished family keepsake. It’s intended for an initial print run of 50 hardcover copies.

Project Overview:
- Manuscript: ~44,000 words
- Pages: Approx. 200 (160-170 text/recipe pages; ~30 photo pages)
- Photos: Approximately 30 (mix of personal and AI-generated food images provided throughout; photos will be finalized by this weekend)
- Format: 8.5" x 11" portrait
- Binding: Hardcover
- Aesthetic: Warm, rustic Italian style – inviting and familial
- Interior Design: Full-color with prominent use of food and family photography; freelancer must have photo editing capabilities to ensure seamless integration.

Scope of Work (3 Phases):

1. Spelling & Punctuation Review:
Proofread the manuscript to correct only spelling errors, obvious mistakes, and punctuation issues while maintaining the existing structure, humor, tone, and content integrity.

2. Design Development:
- Create sample layouts for chapter openers and recipe pages in the proposed design style.
- Use placeholder images initially until final photos are available.

3. Final Production:
- Integrate polished photographs and text into the approved design layouts.
- Deliver a print-ready PDF formatted for hardcover printing along with editable design files.

Timeline:
Final deliverables (print-ready) must be completed by the end of November.
