Job Title: Technical Textile Engineer / Industrial Pattern Developer – Custom Hardware Enclosure
Job Overview:
Ti'Kwan'Nae, Ltd Co is seeking an experienced, independent Freelance Textile Engineer / Industrial Pattern Developer to design the proprietary technical fabric components for our Modular Quick-Deployment Enclosure. This product features a custom inflatable pneumatic frame. You will be collaborating directly with our French CAD Engineer to design fabric components that interface seamlessly with a solid mechanical geometry.
Core Deliverables:
• Develop complete, highly accurate 2D flat-cut textile patterns, layout profiles, and manufacturing-ready nesting strategies based on our frame dimensions.
• Engineer designs accommodating harsh weather conditions, including layered fabric seams and tensioning.
• Create customized fabric component interfaces, incorporating considerations for sloping and tension/tightening mechanisms.
• Deliver finalized production-ready files in standard industry formats (DXF, ASTM, or native apparel CAD files).
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience in technical gear, shelter design, heavy-duty industrial textile framing, or tactical equipment development (experience with garments only is insufficient; you must understand structural stretch, wind/tension tolerances, and rigid frame clearance).
• Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD geometries, STEP, or IGES files provided by our mechanical engineer.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) for technical fabrics and commercial sewing assembly.
Strong experience and knowledge in designing with harsh weather considerations, layered fabric seams, tensioning, and sloping mechanisms
Project Terms & Security:
This is a confidential project under an active U.S. Provisional Patent Application. The selected developer must sign our strict Confidentiality & Work Product Assignment Agreement before gaining access to specifications or references. All developed work products will exclusively belong to Ti'Kwan'Nae, Ltd Co.
