I’m wrapping up the edit of a Telugu short film and now need a music director who can carry the emotional weight of the story. The tone leans strongly toward the emotional and dramatic, yet each scene calls for its own flavour—sometimes classical, sometimes contemporary, sometimes a seamless fusion of both. I’m open to traditional Indian timbres, western orchestral colours, electronic textures or any combination that best serves the narrative; the instrumentation should always feel motivated by the moment on screen.
Your job is to craft a complete original score that heightens tension where needed, softens intimate beats and ultimately threads the entire film together. You will work from a locked picture and spotting notes that detail cue points, rough durations and the specific moods I’m after. I’m collaborative and quick to give clear feedback, so revisions will be straightforward.
Deliverables
• Fully-mixed stereo master for each cue (48 kHz WAV)
• Stems separated by instrument group for final mix
• A single continuous mix married to picture for reference
• Short versions for trailer & social teasers
• Signed transfer of usage rights for festival and OTT release
I edit on DaVinci Resolve, so time-coded reference files will be supplied. If you arrange in Logic, Cubase, Ableton or Pro Tools, that’s fine—just make sure final exports sync perfectly. Ready to dive into an emotionally charged score that adapts scene by scene? Let’s talk timelines and get started.
