Fixed-price budget: CAD $1,060–$1,560 for the complete agreed scope.
We are looking for an experienced team to complete the SQL database, backend integrations, payment processing and access management for an interactive avatar service.
The service will support complimentary access codes and paid, fixed-duration sessions. The initial paid offering is CAD $0.99 for a 10-minute session, with configurable pricing and duration.
The complete system must be delivered, integrated and tested before 7:00 p.m., Quebec time, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Your proposal must explicitly confirm this deadline.
Existing Work and Integration
The session flow, reconnection handling, parts of the website and several automated tests already exist. An initial SQL schema and creation scripts have also been prepared, but execution and backend integration remain to be completed.
The assignment includes reviewing and reusing suitable existing components, completing unfinished functionality and validating the integrated system. Existing real-time state management must be assessed and connected to the new backend as required.
Detailed infrastructure specifications, technical documentation and relevant code will be shared privately with shortlisted teams before the final scope and fixed price are agreed.
1. SQL Database and Data Access
Set up an isolated development and test database and prepare production deployment with separate access permissions.
Finalize and execute the schema, migrations, constraints and backend data access components. Implement reliable transactions, concurrent access handling, retries and rollback.
Repeated or interrupted operations must never grant or consume the same session entitlement twice.
2. Complimentary Codes and Session Entitlements
Implement secure batch generation, export, validation and redemption of complimentary access codes.
Include protected code storage, key management, expiration and deactivation. Concurrent redemption attempts must not allow a single-use entitlement to be redeemed twice.
Before starting a session, the website must display the service, exact duration and number of available sessions. Viewing this information must not consume an entitlement.
3. Accounts, Payments and Recovery
Complete production account management, authentication, ownership of purchases and secure recovery of entitlements from another browser. Complimentary codes must also support an appropriate guest access flow.
Integrate the designated payment provider, hosted checkout, server-side payment confirmation and signed payment notifications.
Handle duplicate, delayed and out-of-order notifications. A confirmed payment must produce exactly one entitlement.
If an interruption occurs after payment, the entitlement must be recoverable automatically. Include persistent background processing, retries, reconciliation and identification of cases requiring manual intervention.
4. Sessions, Waiting and Consumption
Connect entitlements to the existing session system. Consumption must begin only when the session is confirmed as active.
Reconnection must not consume a second entitlement or restart the session timer.
Complete automatic waiting and allocation when no session capacity is available. Include fair queue handling, prevention of duplicate reservations, release of resources and recovery after interruption or restart.
5. Production Readiness and Protection
Complete public entry-point integration, secure routing, TLS, request rate limiting, application firewall protection and monitoring.
Security controls must preserve the correct processing and signature verification of payment notifications.
Verify the existing real-time connectivity relay, certificate renewal, monitoring and alerts.
Persistent conversation memory and preparatory user notes are outside this scope. Conversation content must not be stored in the SQL database, application logs or backups.
Avatar creation, scene design, the conversation engine, vision features and legal drafting are outside this assignment. Integration with the existing service is included.
Deliverables and Acceptance
Provide the complete source code, SQL scripts, database schema, documentation and deployment instructions, including backup, restoration and rollback procedures.
Demonstrate the complete flow from payment or complimentary code through entitlement issuance, waiting, session start, consumption, reconnection, completion and cleanup.
Testing must cover duplicate notifications, concurrent requests, network failures, stopped background processing, recovery, rollback and restoration.
Defects that prevent the agreed functionality or acceptance criteria from being met must be corrected without additional charges.
