About the Opportunity
MIYO Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide virtual services for a Texas school district during the 2026–2027 school year. This fully remote opportunity offers the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on students with visual impairments.
The selected provider will support a caseload of approximately 22 students, collaborating closely with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive high-quality educational services.
Responsibilities
Provide direct virtual instruction and consultation services to students with visual impairments.
Develop and implement individualized instructional plans aligned with each student's IEP.
Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, related service providers, and families.
Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.
Monitor student progress and maintain timely, accurate documentation.
Complete required service logs, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
Communicate regularly with district personnel regarding student needs and progress.

Competitive hourly contractor compensation

Requirements
Qualifications
Valid Texas certification as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI).
Experience working with school-aged students with visual impairments.
Previous virtual or teletherapy experience is preferred but not required.
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Reliable high-speed internet and a private workspace suitable for telepractice.
