Tanzanian PVC Pipe Pricing Study

I need up-to-date, on-the-ground pricing intelligence for PVC water-supply pipes, drainage / sewer pipes, and the standard fittings (elbows, tees, connectors) sold across Tanzania. The core purpose is to see exactly what the main importers and distributors are charging and how those prices translate at retail level through building-material shops.

Scope of work
• Compile a list of active importers & distributors, then a separate list of retail shops and hardware dealers that stock these products.
• Record for each competitor: company name, city, product lines carried (note class / diameter where stated), unit price, available discounts or bulk terms, and any brand or quality positioning they emphasise.
• Cover primary commercial hubs such as Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mwanza and Dodoma; add others where data is accessible.
• Present findings in an Excel or Google Sheet, source-linked so I can trace every figure. Add a short written summary that highlights price ranges, notable differences between wholesalers and retailers, and regional variations.

Acceptance criteria
• Minimum of 10 importers/distributors and 15 retail outlets profiled with verifiable prices dated within the past 30 days.
• Spreadsheet is clear, filtered by product type, and fully source-cited.
• Summary report (max 2 pages) concisely explains key insights.

Feel free to employ phone calls, store visits or distributor price lists—whatever yields reliable numbers. Local knowledge of Tanzania’s construction-supply chain and solid Excel/Google Sheets skills will be a decisive advantage.
