PROJECT: Custom 3D MTM/Bespoke Suit Configurator + CRM
OVERVIEW
I own Magnolia Bespoke, a Made-to-Measure (MTM)/bespoke menswear business. Clients come to me IN PERSON for appointments. I want a professional web-based 3D configurator + CRM used on a large monitor/TV during appointments.
Goal: open a client profile, create his realistic body/avatar, enter measurements and build the suit in real time. Changes to fabric, lapel, buttons, pockets, trousers, lining, etc. update the 3D garment immediately. The final configuration, measurements, price, quote, order and fitting history are saved to the CRM.

1. 3D CLIENT AVATAR
The client should see a realistic male avatar resembling him. Adjustable factors:
* Height and body proportions/build
* Shoulder width/slope
* Chest, waist/abdomen, hip
* Arm/leg proportions
* Skin tone
* Other relevant body-shape variables
AI may assist with body-shape/photo analysis, but must NEVER replace my professional measurements, which are authoritative and editable.
Support front/back/side/3/4 views and ideally 360° rotation.
2. REALISTIC 3D CLOTHING
The garment must look premium and realistic, NOT like a cartoon or simple 2D image, and conform visually to the customized body. Support realistic fabric color/texture, solids, herringbone, stripes, checks/plaids/windowpane, weight/appearance where practical, drape, shadows, folds and construction.
Recommend the best 3D technology (e.g. Three.js/WebGL, Babylon.js or Unity WebGL) and explain why.
3. SUIT CONFIGURATOR
Build a complete custom suit.
JACKET:
* Single/double breasted; button count/stance
* Notch/peak/shawl lapels; lapel width
* Straight/slanted/flap/jetted/patch/ticket/chest pockets
* No/single/double vent
* Button/sleeve-button styles and functional options
* Stitching, jacket length, shoulder construction
* Other manufacturer-supported options
TROUSERS:
* Flat front/pleats
* Waistband, belt loops, side adjusters
* Pocket/back-pocket styles
* Plain/cuffed hem
* Rise, fit/width and MTM measurements
VEST/WAISTCOAT:
* On/off, fabric, buttons, lapel, pockets
Must support 2-piece and 3-piece suits and allow future shirts, blazers, coats and separate trousers.
4. FABRIC LIBRARY
Centralized fabric database supporting name/code/SKU, manufacturer/mill/collection, composition, weight, season, color/pattern, cost, retail price, availability, photos and high-resolution texture/maps.
Fabric must actually appear on the 3D suit. A dark navy herringbone must visibly look like dark navy herringbone, not simply navy.
Filter by color, pattern, weight, season, manufacturer, price and code; favorite and compare fabrics on the avatar.
5. LININGS, BUTTONS & DETAILS
Separate libraries for linings and buttons with name/code, images/textures, color/pattern, manufacturer, cost, retail price and availability. Lining should ideally be visible inside an opened/viewed jacket. Support thread, stitching, buttonhole color, monogram and other options.
6. ADMIN / PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
I must manage products myself. Admin must add/edit/archive fabrics, linings, buttons, styles, lapels, pockets, vents, manufacturers, prices, availability, categories and measurement fields.
Example: Add Fabric > upload texture > enter code/name/cost/price > publish. Discontinued fabrics disappear from new selections but remain correctly attached to historical orders, which preserve their original configuration and price.
7. MTM MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
Permanent, editable client measurement profile supporting height, neck, shoulder, chest, waist/stomach, hip, jacket/back/front length, sleeve, biceps, wrist, U-rise, trouser waist, inseam, outseam, thigh, knee, calf, bottom, rise and manufacturer-specific/custom fields. Measurements require history/versioning; updating a client must NOT erase previous measurements.
8. BODY / TAILORING ADJUSTMENTS
Record left/right shoulder drop, uneven/forward/backward shoulders, hollow back, prominent abdomen/seat, neck/chest/back adjustments, sleeve pitch, trouser adjustments and manufacturer-specific adjustments. Store with client and/or order.
9. CRM
Client profile: name, phone, email, address, notes, measurements/body profile, preferences, orders, saved configurations, fabrics, appointments, quotes, payments, fittings, alterations, photos and status. Fast search by name, phone, email or order number; multiple designs per client.
10. DUPLICATE / REORDER
Include “DUPLICATE SUIT.” A previous order should create a new configuration copying measurements, adjustments, fabric, lining, buttons, jacket style, lapel, pockets, vents, trousers and other customizations. I can modify it.
11. PRICING / QUOTES
Automatic configurable pricing: base suit + fabric + lining + buttons + vest + special options = retail price. Admin must edit prices. Internal cost/manufacturer pricing is separate and NEVER exposed in Client Mode. Generate quotes with client, date, configuration, price, deposit, balance and order number.
12. ORDER MANAGEMENT
Convert quote to unique-numbered order. Customizable statuses such as Consultation > Quote > Deposit > Confirmed > Manufacturer > Production > Shipped > Received > Fitting > Alterations > Ready > Delivered > Completed. Preserve exact historical configuration.
13. MANUFACTURER / PRODUCTION SHEET
Generate production information including client/order number, measurements, adjustments, fabric/lining/button codes, jacket construction, lapel, pockets, vents, trouser details and instructions. Support different manufacturers with different measurement systems/options and prevent invalid combinations where possible.
14. FITTINGS / ALTERATIONS
Record first fitting, alterations, second fitting and final fitting/approval. Alteration fields must be customizable. Photos can be attached to clients/orders.
15. CLIENT MODE VS ADMIN MODE
TAILOR/ADMIN MODE may show measurements, internal notes, manufacturer information, costs, margins, CRM and orders.
CLIENT DISPLAY MODE should show only the premium visual experience: avatar, suit, fabrics, styles, configuration, final appearance and retail price if desired.
Client MUST NOT see internal costs, margins, supplier information or private CRM notes.
Include an easy “CLIENT VIEW / FULL SCREEN” button for the large office display.
16. PERFORMANCE
Live appointments require fast updates when changing fabrics/styles. Optimize 3D models, textures, browser performance, caching/lazy loading and large fabric libraries.
17. AI / BODY ANALYSIS
I am interested in AI-assisted body-shape/photo analysis, avatar customization, posture/shoulder analysis and style recommendations. AI is assistive only; professional measurements remain final. If too expensive for Version 1, propose it for Phase 2.
18. DASHBOARD / APPOINTMENTS
Dashboard: appointments, open/production/fitting orders, balances and recent clients. I use Setmore; please evaluate integration.
19. SECURITY / OWNERSHIP
Use secure authentication, HTTPS, proper database, permissions and backups. I require ownership/access to source code, database, hosting, admin, documentation and custom 3D assets. Disclose all third-party software/APIs/AI/3D assets, licenses and ongoing fees.
20. TECHNOLOGY / 3D ASSET CREATION
Explain your recommended stack, 3D garment creation method, avatar/body customization, fabric-texture system, CRM/database architecture, hosting and ongoing costs. I can provide garment photos, fabric references, manufacturer information, measurements and screenshots.
21. PHASED DEVELOPMENT
PHASE 1: Core avatar/suit/fabrics/configuration/measurements/CRM/pricing/quotes/orders/admin.
PHASE 2: Advanced AI/body analysis, avatar fitting, fabric/cloth simulation and additional garments.
PHASE 3: Appointment/payment integrations, manufacturer automation, analytics and business automation.
22. PROTOTYPE / PROOF OF CONCEPT
Before full development, I strongly prefer a working prototype showing a realistic male avatar/body, one realistic suit, several fabrics, fabric switching, garment options, multiple views/rotation and a basic measurement-to-body relationship.
23. WHAT I DO NOT WANT
Not a generic Shopify/e-commerce site, basic 2D configurator, cartoon mannequin, simple color-changing image, disconnected CRM, fixed-size avatar, or system requiring a developer for every fabric. It must store real MTM measurements, preserve previous configurations, and never expose internal costs to clients.
24. BID REQUIREMENTS
Do NOT send a generic proposal. Answer:
25. Have you built 3D clothing configurators, realistic avatars, fashion/garment systems or CRM/order systems?
26. What technology would you use and why?
27. How will the avatar respond to MTM measurements?
28. How will you handle hundreds/thousands of fabric textures efficiently?
29. How can I add products without a developer?
30. How will Client/Admin Mode be separated?
31. How will manufacturer-specific options work?
32. How would AI/body analysis work?
33. What should be Phase 1 vs Phase 2?
34. Timeline and total cost?
35. Ongoing hosting/API/licensing costs?
36. Main technical challenges?
37. Relevant previous work/examples?
FINAL GOAL
A client sits in my office. I open his profile, enter measurements, and his customized body appears on the large screen. We select dark navy herringbone and build the suit in 3D, changing every detail. We compare fabrics, finalize, calculate price, create quote/order, generate manufacturer information and save everything to the CRM.
Months later I can open his profile, see exactly what he purchased and duplicate the suit for a new order.
I want a long-term partner to build this serious Magnolia Bespoke platform—not a visual demo.
