LG webOS Signage expert needed: synced video wall alternating with menu images (LG SuperSign, webOS 6.0)
About the project
- We manage digital menu boards for a restaurant chain across hundreds of LG webOS Signage displays (49UH7N, webOS 6.0), managed through LG SuperSign CMS.
- These are commercial signage displays, not consumer TVs. Everything must run on the displays themselves: no external players.
- In each store, groups of 3 or more displays sit side by side in landscape.
What we need
- The displays alternate between static menu images (a different image per display) and a video that spans all of them as a video wall.
- The video wall must be perfectly in sync across displays, with no black gaps when switching between video and menus.
- If one display turns off, the others must keep playing. The full menu board can never go dark.
- Menus must stay as images (they change constantly across hundreds of displays, so converting them to video is not an option).
- The solution must scale to hundreds of displays and be manageable remotely.
What we've already tried
- SuperSign Videowall (playlist with scenes): it syncs, but if one display turns off, the others go black with a loading icon until it comes back.
- RS-232C Master/Slave sync (Contents Sync): works with a single video, but with a playlist the displays drift out of sync after the menus, and there's a black gap between items.
Requirements
- Proven experience with LG webOS Signage (SCAP/IDCAP) and/or SuperSign, not only consumer webOS TV apps. Please share links or examples of signage work you've deployed.
- Experience syncing video walls across independent displays.
How we'd like to start
- A small paid test on our 3 displays: video wall and menu images alternating, in sync, with no black gaps, and the other displays keep playing if one goes off.
- If the test succeeds, we'll discuss the full project.
In your proposal, please explain briefly how you would approach the sync and the "one display off" requirement.
