I need a modern, minimalist website that showcases my restaurant while fully respecting Swiss web and data-privacy standards. The site must feel light, fast and mobile-first, with clean typography and generous white space that lets food photography shine.
Primary features (all must be built and ready for launch):
• Online reservations with real-time table availability and email/SMS confirmations
• An easy-to-update digital menu (separate lunch, dinner and seasonal tabs)
• Customer review section that pulls live feedback and allows moderation before publishing
Secure payment capability is essential. The checkout has to accept major credit/debit cards and PayPal, processed through a PCI-compliant provider that operates in Switzerland. Payment pages should load inside the site (no external redirects) and support CHF as the default currency. If future expansion to TWINT becomes necessary, the codebase should allow adding that gateway with minimal refactoring.
Scope of work
1. UX/UI design in Figma (or similar) for approval
2. Responsive front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React or Vue welcomed)
3. Back-end or headless CMS setup so my staff can edit the menu, prices and opening hours without touching code
4. Integration of reservation engine and payment gateway, followed by sandbox and live testing
5. SEO basics (semantic markup, meta tags, alt text) and Google Analytics 4 setup
6. Handover of all source files, credentials and a short video walkthrough of the admin area
Acceptance criteria
• PageSpeed Insights mobile score ≥ 85
• Successful test transactions with Visa, Mastercard and PayPal in CHF
• All customer data encrypted in transit and at rest, satisfying Swiss FADP requirements
• No console errors across the latest versions of Chrome, Safari and Firefox
Timeline is flexible within reason, but I prefer staged milestones so I can review each module before moving on. Let me know which tech stack you propose and any similar restaurant sites you have launched.
