Supabase + Stripe + Netlify backend for a finished lawn bowls web app: sign-in, 30-day trial, annual subscriptions, access lock

I own Bowls Draw, a web app that helps social lawn bowls coordinators pick fair teams each week.
The app and the marketing website are finished and live on two Netlify sites. I need an experienced
developer to build the account and payment layer around them. I am not asking for a rebuild.
What you would build
• Sign-up, sign-in, password reset and email confirmation with Supabase Auth.
• A 30-day free trial with no card, tracked in the database, with reminder emails at 14, 7 and 1
days before it ends.
• Stripe subscriptions in AUD: Individual $49 a year (1 login) and Club $99 a year (3 coordinator
logins). Annual auto-renewal, receipts, failed-payment handling, Customer Portal, webhooks.
• Access gating on Netlify: the app only opens for a live trial or a paid year. When access ends it
locks, with no grace period.
• One active session per login.
• Online cancellation, a My Account page, and a simple admin panel for me.
• Transactional emails (welcome, reminders, receipts, cancellation) with my wording.
• Documentation and a clean handover to a repository and accounts that I own.

Why this is a good project
• The front end, pricing, business rules and customer flow are already decided and written down.
I will give you a full specification, flow diagram and a list of every email and record.
• Australian subscription law is tightening in July 2027, so online cancellation and renewal
notices are built in from the start.
• Fixed price per milestone, paid when I have approved each one on a staging site.

Who I am looking for
• You have shipped Supabase and Stripe subscription billing before and can show me live
examples.
• You are comfortable with Netlify functions or edge functions, and plain JavaScript (the app is a
single HTML file, not a framework app).
• You write clearly, test your work, and are available for some overlap with Sydney business
hours (AEST/AEDT).

1. Which similar Supabase + Stripe subscription project have you delivered? Please link it or
describe it.
2. How would you build the 30-day no-card trial and the reminder emails, and what would send
them?
3. How would you stop the app loading for a signed-out or lapsed user, given it is a static single-
file app on Netlify?
4. Which payment methods would you offer for an annual auto-renewing plan in AUD, and what
are the trade-offs?
5. What is your fixed price and timeline per milestone, and what would you class as extra?
