I am rolling out a subscription-based billing system and need a developer who can take it from planning through to deployment. The solution must plug seamlessly into both my website and my mobile app, sharing a single customer database and payment gateway.
Core requirement
• Customers must be able to start with a defined trial period before their first charge.
I am open to adding automatic renewals and multiple subscription tiers later, so please build the architecture with those options in mind.
Please handle:
• Secure checkout and tokenised card storage with PCI-compliant providers (Stripe or similar).
• Webhooks or API endpoints that let my backend track trial expirations, successful payments and failed renewals.
• A lightweight admin panel where I can adjust trial length, see active subscribers and export reports.
• Clear documentation so my in-house team can extend the codebase.
Code can be in Laravel, Node, Django or another mainstream framework—whatever you are fastest with—as long as it’s clean, well-commented and covered by basic tests. Continuous integration isn’t mandatory, but if you can wire up unit tests in GitHub Actions it will be a plus.
Let me know your preferred stack, any previous subscription projects you have shipped, and a realistic timeframe for going live.
