Structural Engineering for Residential Steel Staircases

I have full architectural drawings for three separate residential staircases that will be fabricated in steel, and I now need a qualified structural engineer to turn those layouts into build-ready documents. Your role is to check the geometry I’ve set, size every member, specify plates, bolts, welds and bracing, and produce a clear calculation package suitable for local building control submission.

You can work from the CAD/PDF files I’ll provide on day one. I welcome suggestions that optimise weight or simplify fabrication, but the overall look, rise/run and footprints are fixed by the existing plans. Please reference the relevant residential codes for steel design in your calculations and call out any assumptions you make so the certifier can follow the logic.

Deliverables (PDF + editable source):
• Marked-up drawings with final member sizes, connection details and notes.
• Full structural calculations, clearly organised and referenced.
• A short compliance summary I can forward to my fabricator.
