I have a 14-page Microsoft Word Tender proposal document that has some conceptual work/design styling applied, but now needs to be set into the template/styles correctly.
***Must be correctly set up on a PC Windows computer!***
Notes:
Landscape orientation and two columns for a few pages.
Mostly:
Paragraphy styling, table styling, adding and ensuring the Modern Content Control data is working (I only have a Mac so cannot add these in myself), ensuring header & footer styling is corrrect and section breaks are on-point, and lastly TOC finessing.
What I need is a clean pass focused on the paragraph styling that Word handles best when proper Styles are applied.
The work centres on six things:
1. Indentation & spacing – every paragraph must follow the same before/after spacing and first-line or hanging indent rules.
2. Font & text size – the typefaces already live in the file (and shown on the conceptually treated/styled pages - PAGES 3 & 4), so please flow these paragraph styles across the remaining pages 2 – 3, and then 6 –14.
3. Ensure font styles are all same colour, size, font weight as per conceptually treated pages (PAGES 4 & 5).
4. Please ensure number of sections, works correctly with the TOC:
a) Remove the prelude items on Page 2 (only) from the TOC [Proprietary and Confidential Information, Document Status, Submission Details] - remove their bookmarks/apply new sub-heading style?
b) The numbered headers throughout should match the TOC - each top-level heading and remain fully linked to its Word style and TOC so future edits/additions renumber themselves. The client will increase the content in this template (it will look like: Tender Example 2.docx) for more complex tender submissions.
5. Page headers and footers:
a) Please style them as per Approved PAGE 3 & 4.
b) Modern Content Control - Please reference: Tender Example 2.docx (second supplied Tender Word doc example), to see how they use the reference content (control content) on Page 2, under the 2 x Tables: 'Document Status' + 'Submission Details' > place these directly into the footers and headers.
c) Footer alignment need to be either:
- full width of landscape page
- Half width of landscape (or custom width) depending on where the imagery is placed on the page.
6. Please style all tables in document as per Page 6 's Table styling.
7. Lastly, but importantly, please ensure you run a proper hygiene exercise to remove ANY/ALL UNUSED styles so its is clear what is actually available in this Word Template.
----------
No content edits are required; this is purely layout, styling and functionality project. When you return the file, everything should be driven by Word Styles—not manual formatting—so the document stays robust if client adda or deletes sections later.
Deliverable: the updated .docx with consistent styles and functioning hierarchical numbering per section, ready for print or PDF export.
I will save out as a .dotx template version from there.
